Long Sleeve Birthing Gown – White Linen Birthing Ritual Shirt

These birthing gowns have an oversized, relaxed silhouette. Sizes vary by bust measurement, and you can also consider your usual clothing size. Check the size chart here.

Gowns are cut for a height of about 165–172 cm. If you are taller or shorter, the length is adjusted to your height free of charge, so the gown falls at knee level on you. To arrange this, please add the following to the message with your order:

• your height, or your preferred length from the neck at the back down to the hem at knee level

• your bust circumference, at the fullest part

• your belly circumference, at the fullest part

A noticeably longer gown (for example, ankle length) is not included in the free adjustment. Please get in touch before ordering, using the contact form, email, or chat, to agree on the details and price.

The body changes a lot in the last months of pregnancy and after birth, so please don’t worry if the gown seems roomy. What matters most is that it does not feel tight anywhere. When in doubt, choose the larger size.

100% linen (flax) (185-205 gsm)

Linen is a natural plant fibre that is gentle on the skin and does not irritate it, which is why it is often a comfortable choice for sensitive and allergy-prone skin.

VIKSVOS linen comes from Lithuanian manufacturers and is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, which means it has been tested for harmful substances.

It is naturally breathable: cool on a warm day, comfortable and warm on a colder one. New linen can feel slightly crisp, and it gets softer and brighter with every wash, adapting to the shape of your body the longer you wear it. Flax is also one of the most ecological fabrics: long-lasting, quick-drying, and biodegradable.

Washing: Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C (85°F). Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colours in a mild detergent.

Stain removal: Gently pre-treat stubborn stains with stain soap (such as gall soap) before washing.

Drying: Wring out gently, or not at all. Shape the garment and hang it to dry on a hanger in a warm room or outdoors, out of direct sunlight, which can fade the colour. Please do not use a tumble dryer: it softens linen, but can cause colour fading, excessive shrinkage, and permanent creases.

Ironing: If needed, iron inside out while the fabric is still slightly damp, with steam.
